I'm Sam Guss a recent addition to the 40K community, having just started playing back in 2011 during 5th Edition. I've been a gamer all of my life and have been seriously drawn into Warhammer 40K. I'm not an expert player, I am decidely a newb still but I love how I can combine a variety of interests into this one hobby. Podcasting is the newest addition into that hobby. Make no mistake about it, I am a hobbyist and I see this podcast as an extension of that.
I play mostly at Bud's Place in leeds, AL where I also serve as kind of the 40K ambassador for the store. I run and/or schedule monthly 40K events, be a general cheerleader for 40K and the store itself and help new players find their bearings in the community at large including the other gaming stores as well. As for armies I play Grey Knights (no hissing now, I only win maybe 1 out of 5-7 right now lol) and I've started to build a Tyranid army. I also have the start of a Chaos Space Marine army and I suspect I'll be getting into the Dark Angels here pretty soon.
While Warhammer 40K is what I consider my main game, I also play World of Warcraft MMO, have picked up Dystopian Wars and plan on eventually getting into Warmachine/Hordes. 40K though is where most of my gaming passion goes though.
As with anyone, I'm a multi-faceted person. I run a wedding photography business, work in a bookstore, in school to become a history professor one day, am a published author and continue to write and publish, married with dogs, cats and kids (all older, only 1 that lives with me), love classical music, an action movie buff, old fashioned RPG gamer, aspiring artist (other mediums than photography( and could go on, but this place is all about 40K. So with that, I'll conclude my introduction and welcome you to our forums.
Remember, no one ever suspects the Souther Inquisition!
